Well it's about time...drop the puck already!!!!!!

It has seemed like an entire summer has passed since we sent the Sabres packing and now the Ducks stand in the Senators way of returning Lord Stanley home where it belongs. We are minutes away from puckdrop and here are some pix from today's Be Red Sens car rally.

Sens in 5.

Or Sens in 4...

Nah, Sens in 6.

"Mom, can we paint the van??"

Forget bobble heads, when your name is on a rim you've made it.

"Stu, we read your blog all the time..."

See the golf course? It took me 10 minutes....

This is one of our regular TGOR emailers, Big Rick with Big Rick Jr.

I paid the city of Ottawa $30 for a parking ticket today. I also bought this for the same price and had it put on my Jersey (@ Sensations), needless to say it was better spent on this.

All I can say is....WOW!!!!!

Who would have imagined that the city of Ottawa would come out and support this team on their lunch hour for a pep rally?? It's going to be one heck of a ride...here's some pix from today's event. Keep listening to TGOR to win your way into the Stanley Cup finals.

The Mayor and I discussing the keys issues on city council...

2 Million fans came out to see the show...

Okay, more like 15,000....
What's a party without Sparty.....by the way it was 33 degrees today.

Thanks to Robert Alford from

SENS have a date with the Lord, and his name is Stanley.

Okay, not the most brilliant headline I've ever come up with... Spent the afternoon with the radio on, listening to Dean and Gord calling game 5 while hanging shelves in the garage. I'm old school when it comes to hockey, and while I appreciate the game in HD and watch sports on TV all the time, there's something cool about hearing the guys setting up the scene and those 2 are among the best around.

After moving to Ottawa in the fall of 1994 I remember going to my first Senator game at the Corel Center. I sat in the 300 level, drank beer and ate 6 hot dogs. Ten years ago I watched them lose to Buffalo at the old Don Cherry's in Nepean and have been on the wagon ever since.

Most of you know I'm a Habs fan and always will be, but the Senators have been one of the most exciting teams to watch the last decade and I couldn't be any happier to cheer for them. I got to live out a lifelong dream this season by getting the gig as the Sens PA announcer and told a few golf tournament organizers back in January that I would be happy to emcee their event in the first week of June, but on the odd chance the Sens make it to the finals I would have to work if we had a home game.

They all laughed.

It's been a heck of a ride, from watching Spezza get booed off home ice to Gerber's bad start and to come full circle and hear the crowd chant "Alfie, Alfie, Alfie", the Senators, your Ottawa freakin Senators are going on a date with Lord Stanley. Congrats to Captain Alfredsson, who after seeing it all for the last decade with this franchise now leads his group into a place that he and all of us have dreamt about. When you look back on game 5 and where you were and what you did, please take a moment and say a quiet Go Sens Go for Elgin Alexander Fraser who left Sens fans today.

3 year old Elgin lost his battle with Cancer following today's game.

Yes, it is a magical season to be a Senators fan. Here's Elgin a few months ago visiting the Sens Mike Fisher at a practise.

Sens win....

Are you kidding me? The Senators are one win away from the dance? Unbelievable crowd for game 3 as the Sens blanked the Sabres 1-0 for a 3-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Final.
Prior to the game, the Red Zone was the best yet, and here are the pix to prove it:

Sabre fan....in a sea of Red

You are witnessing history. This is Buzz, the Leaf fan wearing a Be Red hat. Better right click "Save Picture As" because when he sees this he's going to want me to take this down.

So much for that new Plasma...

Finally convinced the wife to let me get that new Plasma and was enjoying the game last night in HD until Briere tied it up with 5 seconds left in the 3rd. I wonder if the warranty covers a remote that's been thrown into it.

So now were up 2-0, and I don't think there's a Sens fan on this planet that thinks they're going to sweep this series, but here's hoping the Sens left Barfalo for good when they hopped on the charter very early Sunday morning.

Congrats to all those who showed up at yesterday's Sens rally, 85 cars and a huge crowd after in the Red Zone. Speaking of which, we'll be giving away another pair of tickets to sit behind the Sabres bench for game 3 (around 6pm in front of the stage) courtesy of Molson and tix to game 4 tomorrow morning on TGOR.

Here are some pix from yesterday:

This belongs to Norm and Jacky...any guy who gets this done on his Porsche knows were going all the way.

The countdown...

Sweet....

Buffalo Sabres, bad songs and Alfie....

What a busy week on TGOR...

For the fans reading this from Buffalo, TGOR stands for "Three Guys On the Radio".

The "the" silent.

10-15 minutes later, Buffalo fan has reached this point of the blog after figuring it out.

Let me wrap up the last few days on the show for those of you who missed it:

4 Days of lead up to game 1, sports talk station in Barfalo comes out with rehashed parody song and makes it on Sportsnet, Steve Warne responds with 2 songs, One of our songs makes it on Sportsnet, Barfalo morning guys come on our show and the "you suck/no you suck" fest goes on for 60 seconds, Barfalo morning show does many lame parodies before the end of the week proving that you can pump out crap every 2 minutes in the city that Norwood built.

I think most Sens fans know that game 2 is going to be a heck of a lot tighter and in a true and perfect world the Senators would finally break the game 2 curse and come home up 2-0, eventually sweeping the mighty Sabres in 4 games.

If this is meant to be our year, I hope John Muckler stands in between Saprykin and Comrie at the parade with a big smile on his face and a message to the naysayers "Do you still want me to sign Roberts?" Muckler is too classy and he's been in hockey long enough to remember scouting Howie Morenz so I'm sure he's developed a thick skin, but there's something sweet about silencing your critics.

One last thing...a buddy of mine saw this on one of the 8000 Sens forums and I thought it would a great idea to pass along. You know how the home crowd was chanting Alfie, Alfie, Alfie during the last series and he scored? From now on whenever #11 gets the puck, chant his name like wild.

It's okay...it's round 3.

More Sens tix to win next week on TGOR.

The Biggest piece of crap...

Comes out of Buffalo this morning (no I'm not talking about the Bills playoff chances this year) but their local sports station has come up with another anti Sens song for round 3.

MEMO TO THE WORLD, and those in Buffalo:

Adam Sandler's Hanukkah song is funny every year......during the festive season.

Come up with a new song, or something creative. Who could forget last years brilliant hit,

"ahahahahahahahahah I am Zedennnnnoooooo Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaara...agagagagagaagagagagahhh"

After 2 rounds of Steve Warne's "I hate the Penguins" and "I hate the Devils" it's safe to say that his next creation will be a top ten hit.

Good Luck Lindy...Sens in 6.

I'm not worried about any negative responses from those in B-Town because they're still a a few years away from the Internet and running water.

(Relax Sabre fan...it's all in good fun. Now get out of our way, you're blocking the road to Stanley)

Sens win and Steve Warne is going to die...

Okay, so the subject line is a little harsh I know...but our happily married with hot wife TGOR host is going to regret watching the game on TV when he could have shared a moment with his all time favorite who came in for the game tonight. Yes, I'm talking about Elisha Cuthbert...in town for game 4.

Sorry, I don't have insane paparazzi zoom from the pressbox...

Our winners behind the New Jersey bench (thx to Molson)

The Team's AJ Jakubec hosting the pre-game show....and for those of you who catch the plays of the week on a regular basis, this is the man behind the message "Tell Hay-Bear he's a #$@%&!"

If Kiss and Twisted Sister combined to form a band, this would be it....GO SENS GO!

Leafs...40 years

Congratulations to the Blue Team on winning their last Stanley Cup back on May 2,1967. It's not important who they beat, but how they have held such a high standard of excellence over the last 4 decades. Got to give credit to their fans who have stuck with their team through it all.

I know this post will generate the following response from Blue Nation:

"We'll at least we won a cup in the last 40 years...you guys (Sens) haven't won in 80 years..."

"If it wasn't for us, nobody would come to your games when the Leafs are in town"

"dfjsahiofhhflkrhjkarfiasjkfakdsjflasdjfkkdasdfkfjkakf YOU, Stuntman..."

Not a day goes by on TGOR without seeing many emails with the following, so for those of you who haven't, enjoy....and in the meantime, I wonder just who are they cheering for in the Sens/Devils series? The hated 401 rivals or the team that knocked them out of the playoffs??

MORE SENS TICKETS TO WIN ON TGOR....
