The one thing Olympic crowds have taught me is that anything goes. Most show up wearing their country colours in pride and bang the cowbell non stop. Then you get the Panda, who made an appearance at the last 2 China hockey games. The Panda is an immediate hit with the crowd and even has a PA announcer running over for a photo. When asked, why does one wear a Panda costume to an Olympic hockey game, Panda's handler says "dude, we had a Panda costume, so why not!"
Now that I see how popular the Panda was, I may dress up as a beaver for the men's gold medal game on Sunday.
