in Sunday's Ottawa Citizen there was a full page ad from Mike Fisher, thanking fans for the support of 11 years. He also went on to say how much he's going to miss hearing me announce his name when he scores a goal.

My sarcasm never comes through in this blog does it?

Mike was all class and while it's not the first time an athlete has done this, I don't ever recall another one from Ottawa doing the same. Thanks Mike, you were a pleasure to deal with, including this moment..

The 14th annual celebrity pumpkin carving contest for Children at Risk goes this weekend.

Local media, sports stars and politicians will have their pumpkins displayed at area malls and you're encouraged to donate for your favorite. Since I've been accused of spending more time with Facebook then with my family, the idea was born. You'll find the Stuntman and the Shark entry at Merivale Mall today through Sunday and we're offering...(ok, bribing you) with a pair of Sens tix.

Children at Risk helps kids with Autism, and your help with this fun event is appreciated.
